You will be providing restorative mentoring services for children and young people aged 10 - 16 referred directly from primary and secondary schools in Manchester due to being at risk of being excluded and involved in the criminal justice system. The aim of this role is to reduce youth violence, increase attendance in school and provide the children with the tools to have a positive future. You will also aim to support young people with the transition from year 6 to year 7.

Examples of this will include both emotional and practical support, with a focus on:

• Intensive mentoring support for children and young people referred to the project.
• Restorative Justice services between these children/young people and any identified victim of their behaviour.
• Family support in order to address conflict within the home and to encourage positive/supportive familial relationships.
