Position Overview
Performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures, adjusts X-Ray equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure and positions patient. Performs specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation. Assists physicians in assigned examination utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.
Essential Functions
Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time....
