Position Overview
A wireperson II is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining electrical systems and components. They work with various types of wiring, cables, and connectors to ensure proper functioning of electrical equipment and systems. Wirepersons may read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints, and they often work closely with electricians and other technicians to complete projects. They must adhere to safety regulations and follow industry standards to ensure the integrity and reliability of electrical systems.
Essential Responsibilities
• Use hand tools (e.g. crimpers, strippers, torquing tools, calibrating tools, etc.) to perform tasks.
• Run and bundle wires according to Powell wiring standards.
• Layout, install, drill and tap devices onto doors and back pans.
• Install name plates and space heaters.
• Install and terminate CTs.
