Position Overview

                    Job Description:De Beers Group of Companies is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder to join the Engineering & Site Services Department at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site in the Northwest Territories. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for fabrication, welding, and repair of stationary, mechanical, and auxiliary equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation across the mine site. The ideal candidate is committed to zero harm and safe work practices. This is a 1 week in and 1 week out rotation and the point of pick up is Yellowknife or Calgary. 
Key responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mining and plant equipment, including tanks, piping, conveyor systems, and structural components.
Weld and fabricate components to industry standards for durability and safety.
Conduct inspections and troubleshooting to identify deficiencies in metal structures and equipment.
