Job Summary

The Web Software Specialist I in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides one or more of the following: design, develop, implement, and maintain content for web sites and web-based applications; address the needs of faculty, staff, students and the public with content for web & knowledge base. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage media, communications, and marketing content using technologies (HTML5, CSS3) and tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint and Premiere) to achieve department goals, project needs and client objectives. 

Publish content on content management systems (CMS) such as Cascade, Sitecore, Drupal, Joomla, or WordPress. Monitor division web sites for compliance with industry best practices and university policy including language use, spelling, broken links, EIR accessibility, privacy (GDPR) and search engine optimization (SEO).
