Job Summary
The Godown Incharge is responsible for managing all warehouse (godown) operations, including receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control, record maintenance, and dispatch of materials. The role ensures proper stock management, accuracy of records, and timely availability of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day godown operations.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory registers.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory.
- Coordinate material dispatches to sites and customers as per requirements.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
- Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), Material Issue Slips (MIS), and stock reports.
