Position Overview
JOB TITLE: Waitress/Cashier
REPORTS TO: Bar and Restaurant Supervisor
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
2. Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
3. Suggests food and beverages to the guest and also try to up sell.
4. Takes food and beverage orders from the Guest on the order taking pads or on the hand held Point of Sale (POS) System.
5. Obtains revenues, issues receipts, accepts payments, and returns the change.
6. Performs basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by Supervisor or by Manager on duty.
7. Fills in for absent staff as needed.
8. Punches the order on the POS machine and make sure to enter the special requirements made by the guest while ordering the food. Eg: No Garlic, less spicy, etc., or without egg, etc.
9. Communicates to the guest and provides assistance with their queries.
