Overview

The Non-Linear Video Editor (NLE) is responsible for editing video content for news, social media, and special features using modern editing software. The role requires creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high production quality. The editor must ensure all video outputs are visually engaging, factually correct, and aligned with the newsroom’s editorial standards.

Reports To

The Non-Linear Video Editor will report to the Assignment Editor.

Responsibilities

• Edit video content (news packages, short clips, promos, social media videos, explainer videos) using industry-standard NLE software
• Enhance video quality through color correction, stabilization, and audio improvement
• Collaborate with reporters, scriptwriters and the assignment team to understand their needs and how to tell a story visually
