The Ottawa Humane Society is looking to establish a talent pool for Veterinary Technicians. This role requires a diploma in Veterinary Technology and focuses on animal health care, medical assessments, and intervention measures. You will play an essential role in tracking health information and supporting the team in achieving OHS goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure the emotional and physical health of shelter animals
• Provide necessary medical assessments and administer treatments
• Educate and support clients about animal well-being
• Track and maintain accurate animal care files
• Assist in training for coworkers and volunteers
Requirements:
• Veterinary Technician diploma from an accredited college
• Preferred registration with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians
