The Swiss Ornithological Institute Sempach is a non-profit foundation for ornithology and bird conservation. It monitors the native bird world, researches their way of life and campaigns for the endangered bird world. It cares for injured and orphaned birds, informs and advises the public and runs a visitor center in Sempach. The Ornithological Institute employs over 200 people in all parts of the country.At the heart of our work is the care center for injured and orphaned wild birds.
