Position Overview
. Perform safe and effective physical, chemical and behavioural restraint on patients. . Diagnose medical conditions using a wide range of diagnostic modalities available, including clinical pathology (haematology, biochemistry, endocrinology, immunology), diagnostic imaging (radiography, ultrasonography, computed tomography), microbiology, cytology and more. . Formulate treatment or management plans for individual and herd/flock health. . Perform basic soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries. . Perform invasive and non-invasive endoscopic procedures. . Practice evidence-based medicine that is pragmatic for the animals. . Perform basic laboratory tests. . Present cases and communicate opinions effectively at various forums. . Manage operational emergency situations. . Manage animal emergency and critical care scenarios, including the formulation of practical and effective intensive care for patients. .
