Usability Engineer

The Usability Designer ensures Philips solutions are safe, effective, efficient, intuitive, and satisfying to use by leading usability activities and advocating for user needs and patient safety across the full product development lifecycle.

Your role

• Conduct usability activities across all development phases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including UI/UX, product design, clinical, R&D, and system engineering.
• Define the usability engineering approach for projects, including planning activities, resources, and usability integration throughout development.
• Conduct user research, develop use scenarios and task analyses, and analyze cognitive, physical, and situational use contexts to support intuitive and efficient design.
• Identify, analyze, and document usability risks and potential use errors through comprehensive usability risk analyses.
