The Unit Secretary/Monitor Technician performs clerical, and communication functions on assigned nursing unit. S/he monitors patients for arrhythmias and alerts proper personnel as needed. She/he provides courteous reception on the nursing unit and coordinates activities for patient care.


Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience Completion of a EKG or Rhythm interpretation course Minimum Experience/Knowledge: Minimum of one (1) year current experience as a Unit Secretary and Monitor Tech in an acute care preferred Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
