UPMC Muncy is hiring a full-time, day shift Unit Clerk! The Unit Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to a patient care unit under the direction of the Nurse Clinical Manager or designee, following established procedures.

This position includes an on-call rotation every third weekend and does not require holiday coverage.

Responsibilities:

+ Provide clerical coverage to other nursing units as directed by Manager of Clinical Support Services.
+ Answer the telephone, deliver messages, sort unopened mail and place in designated boxes.
+ Maintain database for admission and discharge information.
+ Request and log (with verification by RN) patient's appointments, evaluations, consultations and escorts.
