The primary responsibility of the Ultrasound/Vascular Technician is:
* Selects appropriate equipment for use in ultrasound setup, following exam specifications.
* Explains and performs the procedure with consideration to the level of understanding and age appropriateness of the patient.
* Able to assess patient pain by interfering with imaging procedures, makes appropriate physician contact for intervention.
* Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/ healthcare errors.
