**TRUCK OPERATOR TRANSMISSION LINE CONSTRUCTION**





**Job Summary**


**Truck operator is an entry level position. You will be assisting in the construction of new and used transmission lines that will consist of wood, concrete, and steel structured lines spread statewide through Georgia. This position requires heavy manual labor and weekly travel. Travel expenses and hotel cost are the responsibility of the truck operator and a daily per diem (allowance) will be provided to help cover these costs. The current rate is $178 a day for those employees accruing overnight lodging and working 50 miles from home. This is an item covered by the Memorandum of Agreement between Georgia Power Company and the IBEW Local No. 84. This position is subject to call out, scheduled overtime, and storm restoration work.**
