JOB SUMMARY: The Truck Driver transports furniture and other donations in the local region while prioritizing safety, customer service, and efficiency. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Check vehicles to ensure they are mechanically sound and road safe. Check emergency equipment and supplies to make sure they are stocked and functional. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
