A triaxial laboratory technician works in a geotechnical engineering lab and conducts tests to measure the properties of soil and rock within our specialist triaxial laboratory, this includes tests such as triaxial compression, permeability, direct shear, one‑dimensional consolidation, cyclic triaxial, etc.
The work will be hands‑on and physical and therefore requires a reasonable degree of physical strength. The nature of the work is likely to require early starts, late finishes, and occasional overtime.
