American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position at a Level 1 Trauma academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and night shift availability.
Job Details
• Night shift position, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM,
• Every other weekend rotation required,
• 20-bed Transitional Care Unit split across two wings (5A and 5B),
• General Med/Surg patient population including CHF, COPD, kidney/liver/GI/respiratory conditions, CIWA patients, infections, and wounds; any service line may admit, including general surgery,
• Patient ratio of 1:5,
• Required non-titrating drips: Heparin, Lasix, and Protonix,
• Preferred non-titrating drips: Cardizem and Amiodarone (training available if no experience),
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation assessed via strip check-offs during shift,
• EMR: Epic; Alaris IV pumps and Omnicell medication dispensing system,
