The Transporter assists in the preparation for transport and transports patients safely to and from various areas of the hospital. Communicates with patients, patients’ families and staff to ensure patient satisfaction and excellent customer service is provided. Requirements:


+ Minimum of 8th grade education required.

+ High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ One (1) year transport experience in a healthcare preferred.


Responsibilities:


+ Assists in the preparation for transport and transports patients safely, in a timely and efficient manner, to and from various areas of the hospital.

+ Follows appropriate patient instructions from authorized Nursing staff and Technicians.

+ Responds to assignments and completes assignments in a timely manner, notifies dispatcher when job assignments are completed or if there is a delay.
