Summary This position is in the U.S. Department of Transportation, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Research and Technology, Highly Automated Systems Safety (HASS) Center of Excellence's (COE). The incumbent serves as an expert in one of the modal transportation fields and has extensive experience in the interactions of that area of expertise and emergence of highly automated systems. Responsibilities As a Transportation Specialist, you will: Work with DOT Operating Administrations to review, assess, and validate highly automated systems and their safe integration into transportation systems to ensure that the safety impacts are considered.
