Manage, direct and monitor the transport service and the overall performance of the transport to increase efficiency and maximize service, performance, value and profit
Plan and supervise the shipments from production to the end-user.
Day to day tasks such as route planning, resource allocation and management, driver supervision.
Manage and maintain contact and communications with internal and external “client/customers” to achieve, as applicable, best value and satisfaction.
Track orders using functional systems.
Coordinate with Warehouse Manager & Workers to ensure proper storage and distribution of products.
Monitor and report on transportation costs.
Ensure shipping documents are properly filed.
Report maintenance and repair needs for transportation vehicles and equipment.
Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods.
