Key Responsibilities Manage donation process: Identify suitability of donors for cornea donation upon death notification including conducting medico-legal checks and reviewing medical histories Apply clinical analytical skills and judgement in routine scenarios independently , and in complex scenarios with guidance Guide and counsel potential donors and families throughout the donation process Liaise with NOTU (MOH) and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with organ/tissue donation policies
Recovery And Coordination Coordinate the recovery process by working with recovery teams and assisting in post-recovery donor family support Consider medical and biosocial factors when evaluating cases to ensure optimal outcomes
Education And Awareness Educate healthcare staff, the public and family members on the significance of eye donation, and coordinate awareness activities to promote organ/tissue donation Address misconceptions that may prevent families from consenting to donation
