Responsibilities

• Mixes paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture
• Paints surfaces according to instructions with various tools
• Applies varnish and other finishes
• Calculates costs and negotiates prices
• Takes and adheres to all health and safety precautions
• Maintains a clean and safe workspace and abides by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
• Abides other tasks as directed
• Implements Sustainable Practices Policies in Facilities Management s operations

Position Qualification

• Industrial Training Certificate
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Painter
• Knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques
• Knowledge of using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
• Knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them
• Knowledge of basic math
