Job Summary:
Will perform journeyman Electrician work and skilled and semi-skilled work in a combination of two other trades related to HVAC and Electronics in the repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities and equipment. Duties include, but not limited to: Will perform electrical maintenance on hospital and campus electrical systems and electrical utilization equipment. Installs new electrical systems as required. While performing these duties evaluate electrical systems for safety, efficiency, and compliance to applicable building codes. Will locate & determine electrical malfunction using various test instruments (i.e. ammeter, volt meter); repair or replace malfunctioning switches, elements and fuses, & defective wiring; install fixtures, motors, and other electrical equipment; inspect circuits & wiring/rewiring systems in accordance with NEC standards; plan layout & wiring installation; interpret, read & follow blueprint & other diagrams.
