Technician (2 positions)

Required Qualifications

• BEng Tech / BTech Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Power Engineering or a closely related field.
• Base qualification in Electrical Power Engineering (Heavy Current) or equivalent.
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• BEng Tech Honours in Electrical Power Engineering or closely related qualification.
• Primary qualifications accredited by a professional body such as the Engineering Council of South Africa.
• Strong interpersonal skills in managing students of diversity and working with diverse staff.
• A strong passion for technical investigations, troubleshooting, repairs, and creative development in the laboratory.
• Good communication and effective people‑management skills, adherence to workplace etiquette.
