Technician, SPED Registered Behavior

Operating as a member of the District's Special Education Instructional Team (SIT) and under the direct supervision of the assigned Sped Coordinator this role provides implementation support for Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs). The Behavior Technician works directly with certified and classified staff training and providing behavior related supports for identified students. Position supports our school-based special education teams by assisting teachers and other staff through modeling, demonstration, observation, and feedback protocols. Registered Behavior Tech is often teaching aspects of social emotion learning that require school-based assignments of an interim time period. A typical assignment is estimated at a 3-5 day period in one school; however, employee is reassigned as needed and may work for longer or shorter periods on a single assignment as determined by the SIT Team.
