Position Overview
As the Technician - Data Center, you will be responsible for effectively performing assigned tasks in a data center, including general datacenter, servers and network devices setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and housekeeping.
Responsibilities:
Perform weekly sweeps of server and storage equipment in the data center, detecting hardware and network connectivity issues; collect and analyze ipmi-sel data and vendor-specific platform management logs Diagnose server and storage equipment connectivity issues, including basic troubleshooting of network transceiver and optical fiber signal strength problems, using tools and procedures established in the data center Use collected diagnostic information to engage vendor support organizations (HPE, Dell, IX, by opening support cases and following up on hardware fixes and investigations as requested Collaborate with the data center operations team to manage the logistical aspects of the break-an...
