About this Role

The Teacher of Chemistry will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching with the aim of helping students master the key concepts of chemistry and using them to interpret the world around them. The Teacher of Chemistry must be able to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and communicate this in an enthusiastic and imaginative way. In addition, the role will be expected to contribute to the routine and extra‑curricular life of the school, as well as that of the department.

A balanced science programme, incorporating and extending beyond most of the features of the National Curriculum, is taught to pupils in Year 7 to 9 and satisfies the programme of study for Key Stage 3. Sciences are taught separately from Year 7 at Forest, with each group taught by three specialist teachers.
