Job title: Teacher of PE

Location: High Peak School, Mudhurst Lane, Higher Disley, Stockport, Cheshire SK12 2AP

Reports to: Deputy Head

The post holder must support, observe and record the progress of their class. They also must plan lessons in line with national objectives with the aim of ensuring a healthy culture of learning. Teach a class of pupils, and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social need.

The post holder must also keep up to date with developments in their subject area, new resources, methods and national objectives. The role involves liaising and networking with other professionals, parents and carers, both informally and formally.

The post holder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional standards for qualified teachers and uphold the professional code of the General Teaching Council for England.
