**Role Overview**
The Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing provides specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments in either a traditional or adapted curriculum. The role focuses on supporting academic, communication, and developmental needs, particularly for preschool and elementary-aged students, within a school-based program.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Deliver academic instruction aligned with general or modified curriculum
+ Support deaf/hard-of-hearing students using appropriate teaching strategies
+ Utilize **ASL (American Sign Language)** and amplification technologies
+ Adapt lessons for diverse age groups, especially early childhood learners
+ Collaborate with SPED teams and program staff
