**Duties**:** * Teach academic classes as assigned by supervisor including reading, writing, math, science and social studies. * Ability to adapt lessons for ELL population. * Create curriculum to supplement in person instruction. * Utilize research-based practices, current instructional methods, and current materials to ensure effective instruction. * Possess the ability to teach in a correctional setting and interact with an adult incarcerated population with possible medical, psychosocial, or educational deficits. * Work with the Education Division and administration staff to deliver specialized instruction in a secure setting. * Complete daily attendance and update student case plan as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
