Position Overview
**Duties**:** * Teach academic classes as assigned by supervisor including ABE, ESL, PreASE and/or ASE. Classes may be departmentalized to include Reading, Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. * Utilize research-based practices, current instructional methods, and current materials to ensure effective instruction. * Possess the ability to teach in a correctional setting and interact with an adult incarcerated population with possible medical, psychosocial, or educational deficits. * May be expected to work evening hours as operationally necessary. * Work with Education Division and administration staff to deliver specialized instruction in a secure setting. * Responsible for completing student attendance daily and updating incarcerated individual case plan as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) including the awarding of Earned Good Time and completing performance ratings on time each month and time sensitive documentation for program completion as directed in ...
