Tactical Paramedic

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is seeking to fill a vacancy of Tactical Paramedic. In order to apply, you must be a Pinellas County Certified Paramedic with active employment through Pinellas County Emergency Medical Services (PCEMS). The background investigation process may take up to 6 weeks depending upon the complexity of the applicant's background and position for which they've applied.

Under the general direction of a Sergeant, this position performs emergency medical treatment to team members injured or ill persons while engaged in a tactical operation, providing the best possible treatment until the transfer to emergency medical services system. Must be capable of reacting with speed and composure under high stress conditions and must exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining proper actions to take.
