**Job Summary and Qualifications**

The Surgical Tech prepares for procedures by selecting necessary equipment and supplies. The Surgical Tech assists with patient positioning, confirms the procedure with the surgeon, and drapes the patient according to guidelines. During surgery, The Surgical Tech maintains the sterile field and provides effective tissue retraction for optimal visualization. The Surgical Tech also supports emergency responses in the operating room and performs additional surgeon‑directed tasks while demonstrating required department‑specific competencies.
