Job Summary:

Scrub in for designated surgeries and carry out general O.R. duties, adhering to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington preoperative nursing care standards, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington policies and contract agreements. Collect data and prepare for surgery in accordance with surgeons direction or preference. Select and prepare supplies and equipment. Establish and maintain a sterile field.

Essential Responsibilities:



+ Perioperative planning and preparation: Data collection is accomplished through diversified means such as interview, review of records or consultation with other members of the health care team. Current health status deviations and/or problems are identified. Preoperative diagnosis, common complications, and the operative pathology relating to specific surgical procedures are understood through fundamental knowledge of basic sciences and procedures applicable to the surgeons plan for surgical interventi...
