Previous medical directorship experience is required, as well as Board Certification in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Duties are organized around 12-hour primary in-house coverage, plus 12-hour back-up The acute care surgery team has seven fulltime advanced practice professionals and six fulltime trauma surgeons The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives Supported by a multispecialty team of Cardiothoracic, Vascular, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery and Interventional Radiology. 26 ORs and 36 ICU beds combined TICU/MICU. 56-bed emergency department with 2 dedicated trauma bays and 4 additional critical care bays. 1840 annual trauma patients entered in the registry.
