Summary Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Responsibilities Serves as the department head in the Correctional Services department at one of the Bureau of Prisons most complex correctional facilities. Responsible for institutional security, inmate conduct and discipline, inmate work, control of hazardous tools and material, safety, sanitation, control and use of institution vehicles, and key control. Also inspects facilities, observes personnel and inmates from the standpoint of security, morale and employee-inmate relations, and overall program coordination. Serves as an advisor to the Warden and his staff in the formulation and implementation of institution policies, procedures and programs.
