Responsibilities Serves as the department head over the Correctional Services department at a Bureau of Prisons federal prison camp. Serves as the resident expert on all custodial and security questions arising at the facility, and has full and final technical responsibility when problems occur during the course of any given shift. Responsible for institutional security, inmate conduct and discipline, inmate work, control of hazardous tools and material, safety, sanitation, control and use of institution vehicles, and key control in his assigned areas.
