The primary purpose of the Supervisor, Public Safety position is to plan and supervise the daily activities of UTPD Public Safety Officers and Senior Public Safety Officers, to be the main contact and resolution point for building occupants in order to resolve security and safety issues, and to maintain and implement policies, procedures, and operational plans for ensuring safety and security. Coordinate with Police personnel as necessary to maintain standards, effective communication, and continuous improvement processes for the delivery of security services in their assigned area. Develop, train, and evaluate personnel to meet professional standards and customer expectations. Through observation and patrol, safeguard institutional property, identify security issues, and enforce institutional rules and regulations. In emergencies, observe, report, and facilitate the orderly response to and, if necessary, evacuation of buildings and structures.
