The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior environmental specialist supporting Clean Air Act requirements and oversight. Responsibilities Provides professional environmental technical expertise and program support to the office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Installations, Environment and Logistics (SAF/IE), Headquarters Air Force (HAF) A7C, Environmental Restoration and Quality Program Offices, Major Commands (MAJCOMs), Regional Support Branches (RSBs), and installation staff. Initiates, develops, sets specific objectives, and evaluates performances of AFCEC and installation environmental programs to ensure compliance with pertinent governmental policies, directives, instructions, applicable laws, agreements, and other criteria established by Congress.
