**DESCRIPTION:**

The purpose of this position is to provide patron assistance by operating the service desk, handling room reservations, item circulation, and other assorted tasks as needed in the daily operations of the library.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

+ Operates the service desk in the library, occasionally alone.
+ Routinely inspects the library, cleaning and rearranging as needed to ensure a clean environment.
+ Uses Koha to fulfill check in/check out procedures as needed, including for technology, textbook, and journal requests.
+ Monitors library chat function to assist patrons online with questions or direct them to a librarian for assistance as necessary.
+ Operates LibCal to assist library patrons with room reservations; additionally, monitors users of study rooms to ensure compliance with library guidelines and policies.
