The Student Extern works under the direction of the department/unit leader. The Student Extern is part of an educational program that has partnered with Corewell Health. The Student Extern performs the essential duties within their type of position as outlined below.

Essential Functions
+ Patient Care Support Roles duties may include:Providing care to the patient according to the plan of care, specific unit routines and hospital policy under theDirection of the Registered Nurse.
