**Position Description:**

A student enrolled in an institution of higher education employed to perform work as assigned by the supervisor.

**Major/Essential Functions:**

+ Maneuver carts in order to gather, transport, and re-shelve library materials on shelves ranging from 0 to 7 feet high
+ Check library materials in and out during shift
+ Complete any special projects assigned to and given by student assistant manager
+ Prepare material lists for librarians and supervisors
+ Maintain printers by stocking with paper, adding toner, and clearing paper jams
+ Answer the phone and respond to inquiries
+ Process new materials by stamping, affixing call numbers, and inspecting item for any defects
