Job Summary:
The Stock Receiver is responsible for receiving, checking, and verifying incoming stock deliveries to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper documentation. The role supports smooth inventory operations and timely stock availability in the retail store.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive incoming stock from vendors and warehouses.
Verify quantity, quality, and item codes against invoices and delivery notes.
Report damaged, short, or excess items to the supervisor.
Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and arrangement of received stock.
Coordinate with warehouse, inventory, and floor staff for stock movement.
Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation.
Follow FIFO and stock handling procedures.
Ensure cleanliness and safety in the receiving area.
Assist during stock counts and inventory audits.
