Position Overview
**_DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:_**
+ Washes, scrubs, and maintains Kitchen and related walls and floors.
+ Operates dishwashing machine to manufacturer's specifications and instructions.
+ Washes and scrubs pots and pans used in the Kitchen.
+ Arranges Chinaware, Silver in store rooms and shelves.
+ Empties various garbage cans as appropriate.
+ Assists Kitchen personnel as required.
+ Adopts the Clear as you go method of working.
1. Sets up work station as required including filling dish machine, checking chemical levels, setting up flatware presoak, and gathering required set-up equipment for pot sink.
2. Rinses/scrapes all dishes; washes dishes and flatware as each rack is filled; may put clean dishes in assigned storage location.
3. Sweeps and mops kitchen floor at the end of each meal period and after each spill.
4. Monitors chemicals and water temperature during shift; changes water at specified intervals.
