About the Role
Fit and weld pipe and fittings.Read and interpret blueprints/drawings for welding process specifications.Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene equipment. Operate flame-cutting and plasma cutting equipment.Ensure that safe work practices are maintained.Assist in development of estimates and time allotted.Conduct inspections, repairs, modifications and retrofits.Monitor standard parts usage and report to the Welder Supervisor on any material issues.Provide daily updates to the Welder Supervisor on job progression and tracking.
