Performance Requirements:


Perform duties to set up and operate automatic press to blank steel friction core plates in accordance with customer requirements and high-quality standards.


Work from set up procedures, press operating procedures, control plans, control plan addendums, and instructions:


+ Inspect first piece parts visually for defects and using gauges to ensure correct finished part flatness dimensions, hardness and concentricity. Review with Floor Leader for signoff on job set up.

+ Inspect parts throughout production run in accordance with control plan to ensure critical dimensions and finished standards are maintained and enter data onto operator check sheet.

+ Troubleshoot and inspect tooling and material to resolve product quality problems. Clear material jams in press as required.

+ Notify Team Leader or Technician of unusual equipment or material problems.
