General Summary:

Under general supervision, the State Inspection Technician performs State vehicle safety inspections tests per state and/or federal regulations.

*Only candidates external to CarMax will qualify to receive the sign-on bonus.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Perform state inspections using appropriate equipment and adhering to prescribed rules, standards and procedures
+ Ensure that all vehicles meet CarMax Final Quality Standards.
+ Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
+ Maintain, repair, and clean special equipment

Job Specifications:

+ Read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
+ 2 Year automotive trade school degree or has minimum 2 years automotive experience
