A TWTA is a high-power microwave amplifier that uses a Traveling Wave Tube to amplify radio frequency (RF) signals. At SpaceX, TWTAs are used in Starlink Gateways as part of the communications payload. They are valued for their ability to provide high output power and efficiency at high frequencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Assemble and integrate Traveling Wave Tube Amplifiers (TWTAs)

+ Mount TWT tubes, power supplies, and thermal hardware with precision

+ Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and connections

+ Align RF waveguides and connectors to meet performance specifications
